Considering Colonization

Students explore various topics related to the effects of colonization on the so-called “Muslim” World. Students are given glimpses into the implementation of colonist structures within various regions and the variety of responses by primarily Muslim agents in those regions. This is linked to modern-day realities faced by Muslim minority populations within the West (i.e. United States, Great Britain, West Indies, Central and South America) and by Muslim majority populations in the Middle East & North Africa and the Indian Subcontinent.
